Everyone knows about it by now. Not everyone uses it by now. But everyone will use it, sooner or later. It'll become indispensable. It's the fucking future. GPT is my ever-patient, ever-helpful senior developer, motivational coach, life and business strategy advisor, industrious assistant and occasional therapist. It's my best friend and business I love it. As in, I'm in love with it. I want to marry it.

The founder of Levels (metabolic tracker) was up on the Tim Ferriss Show. His team is ultra-remote and lean, and he mentioned Loom as the pivotal tool to enable this. They even use Loom over Slack or other corporate chat software. My verdict after giving it a shot: it's not only hands-down the best tool for screen recordings, but like Corcos said it can revolutionize the way we collaborate. Automatically transcribes Zoom calls or Google Hangouts, or even provides AI-powered summaries. It's also perfect for recording task tutorials for employees or third-parties, and I love the fact that you can track who viewed your recording and that people can comment on the videos. UX is phenomenally good.

The ultimate design tool. Forget powerpoint, forget sketch, forget all that. Do your wireframes, your presentations, your banners on Figma. It's so powerful that Figma decided to splash out a super whopping 20 BILLION DOLLARS to acquire it. I highly recommend following Mizko on YouTube to learn the ropes. It's worth getting skilled at this.

It's safe to say that Notion is my second, external brain. The blank canvas, the freedom to just splat in whatever you want, to shift shit around, to create page upon page – the app of the Gods. The Everything App. I use it for meeting notes, for brainstorming, for strategic planning, for capturing and organising personal/business ideas, and I even use it to go haywire and plot out fictional fantasy/scifi worlds.

There are other chrome extensions to block websites. For mobile I use AppBlock for example. But for chrome on the computer, I haven't found a simpler, non-upgrade-enforcing extension out there. It just does the job without frothy design or a plethora of settings. I love it.

I know I have Notion, but as a raw cloud file management tool, Google wins (also over Dropbox and all those other copycats). This is especially applicable if you're a full on Googler using Gmail, Android, Google Photos, Goole One etc. All the products in their ecosystem are top class, and if you just sell your soul that ecosystem by incorporating them all in your life everything is just so convenient.
