Vicotrian English is superior English. What a way with words they had in these days. Most certainly atrophying in modern times, in terms of its pitiful vocabularic variety and emphasis on short sentences. All the more refreshing to read an engaging and sophisticated classic in Victorian English. Dracula certainly hits the spot in that regard.
I don't even need to go into the story since it's such a classic that it brought vampires into popular culture.
The vampire count of Transylvania seeks his lost love and the conquest of Britain by plague.
